Research Examines Impact of Prebiotic Fiber on Physical Function in Adults with Knee Osteoarthritis

According to results of a double-blind placebo-controlled study published in the European Journal of Nutrition, researchers examined the impact of 16g per day of oligofructose-enriched inulin on performance, knee pain, quality of life, metabolomics, fecal microbiota and short chin fatty acids, noting benefits including reduced knee pain and positive microbiome modulation.
