According to a rat study published in the European Journal of Neuroscience, researchers examined the effects of dietary interventions (milk fat globule membrane [MFGM] and a polydextrose/galacto‐oligosaccharide prebiotic blend) determining that maternal-separation induced visceral hypersensitivity was improved by MFGM and the combination of MFGM and prebiotic blend. In addition, spatial learning and memory were improved by prebiotics and MFGM alone and with the combination.
